Changing Lives
Nov 17th, 11
We hope you are learning more about our work and how important your support is to us through the series of articles we have sent over the last few weeks. This week we are focusing on parent education.
Please take a moment to watch Debbie’s story. As you watch the video, you will see how her struggles as a grandparent raising her grandchildren lead her to parent education classes and how these classes changed her life. The office in which this video was recorded is Debbie’s office –the agency who once provided services to her is now her employer. During April 2011, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky awarded Debbie with a certificate of appreciation for her dedication and volunteerism aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect in her community.

Most parents love their children and want to be better caregivers. Parenting truly is a 24/7 responsibility and our parenting classes provide parents with information, skills, support and community linkages they need in order to be a loving, responsible parent.
Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky provides support and funding to parent education classes across the Commonwealth. By giving a donation of $25 you can help PCAK provide tools and support to partners like Tri-Co Mentoring, mentioned in the video, to ensure caregivers like Debbie receive the assistance they need.
Support our children and families now by participating in the Good Giving Community Challenge. Log on NOW and make your donation, because together we can make a difference!
Help promote our cause, send this message to your friends and ask them to join in our efforts to support Kentucky’s families and children.
