Below you will find a link to a letter from Department for Community Based Services Acting Commissioner, Teresa James. This letter announces the establishment of a web-based child abuse and adult abuse reporting site. This new web-based reporting option is rolling out in two phases. The first phase began July 9, 2012 and is targeted to professionals making reports of abuse and/or neglect in Kentucky. This option does have some mandatory fields which will allow the Department to contact the reporter if further information is needed. The goal of the web-based system is to provide professionals with an easily accessible and timely opportunity for reporting abuse/neglect. While the Abuse Hotline will continue to be the primary resource for reporting, this new system will provide an additional option which may be more convenient for community partners.

Please note the web-based system is only monitored during regular business hours. Urgent reports should be made to the Abuse Hotline (1-877-597-2331) or local law enforcement.

Additional details regarding the implementation and operation of the web-based system are contained in the attached letter (click HERE).
